Running a triple mower requires a front hitch and front PTO on your equipment, along with two front hydraulic remote outlets to operate the lift, lower and side-to-side functions. Three rear hydraulic remotes are also needed to raise and lower the rear-mounted mowers. Around 200 PTO horsepower is suggested to power a triple mower system. While the draw on the PTO from a triple mower system is not in excess of 200 PTO HP, a tractor with that capability will also provide the stability needed for mowing or transporting of the system.
