the seventh in his TERRY THE TRACTOR series.
Synopsis
The newest book, called TERRY AND THE HIGH TECH (LASER
GUIDED, SATELLITE TRANSMITTED) DOZING SYSTEM, concerns
the importance of studying hard and learning new skills.
TERRY AND THE ECOLOGICAL DISASTER teaches children that
we must be careful not to damage the environment
TERRY AND THE ELEPHANT concerns doing one's best and
the development of close friendships.
TERRY AND THE SUPER POWERFUL FUEL warns of the dangers
of substance abuse.
TERRY THE ATHLETE concerns doing one's best and the
importance of sportsmanship.
TERRY AND THE BULLY addresses two subjects: interpersonal
skills and the need to plan one's work.
TERRY THE TRACTOR, the initial book, tells how Terry
begins life as "just a pile of parts" and
becomes a small, but highly motivated, machine.
The books are 6" x 9" and contain about 60
pages and 35 illustrations. Each has a different song
with words and music for the keyboard. They are targeted
toward children aged five to ten, but Terry has fans
of all ages. Children can empathize with Terry and his
friends as they meet life's challenges. They appreciate
the lessons and satisfying endings.
About The Author
Mike Rucker knows a lot about tractors. He has worked
for Caterpillar Inc. of Peoria, Illinois for 36 years.
He knows about kids from being a parent. You will appreciate
the values he teaches in this unique series.
